The facility is transformed into a sole company of the National Treasury, Zakłady Naprawcze Taboru Kolejowego S.A. [the Rolling Stock Maintenance Facility] in Gniewczyna

The company begins the production of freight cars
1999 r.
The company changes its name to Fabryka Wagonów Gniewczyna Spółka Akcyjna.

Private investors purchase a majority interest in the company

Seed capital rises to 8,400,000 zł. SIGMA INVEST from Bratislava (Republic of Slovakia) becomes the major shareholder.

TATRAVAGÓNKA a.s. Poprad purchases 49,555 % interest in the company from ORLISTON ENTERPRISES LIMITED (previously BRIBON ENTERPRISES LTD)
