August 1st 1982  r. A decision of the Ministry of Communication leads to a PKP (Polish State Railways) rolling stock maintenance facility being established in Gniewczyna
1984 r. The facility begins repair works on rolling stock
1991 r. The facility is released from the structure of PKP and converted into a national enterprise, Zakłady Naprawcze Taboru Kolejowego [the Rolling Stock Maintenance Facility in Gniewczyna
1993 r. The facility begins modernization and reconstruction work on freight cars
1994 r. The facility is transformed into a sole company of the National Treasury, Zakłady Naprawcze Taboru Kolejowego S.A. [the Rolling Stock Maintenance Facility] in Gniewczyna
1996 r. The company begins the production of freight cars
1999 r. The company changes its name to Fabryka Wagonów Gniewczyna Spółka Akcyjna.
2001 r. Private investors purchase a majority interest in the company
2005 r. Seed capital rises to 8,400,000 zł. SIGMA INVEST from Bratislava (Republic of Slovakia) becomes the major shareholder.
2006 r. Seed capital rises to 16,400,000 zł. SIGMA INVEST from Bratislava (Republic of Slovakia) is the major shareholder.
2008 r. Seed capital rises to 55,000,000 zł BRIBON ENTERPRISES LTD becomes the major shareholder.
2010 r. TATRAVAGÓNKA a.s. Poprad purchases 49,555 %  interest in the company from ORLISTON ENTERPRISES LIMITED (previously BRIBON ENTERPRISES LTD)
2011 r. Seed capital rises to 78,235,000 zł, present shareholders structure -  TATRAVAGÓNKA a.s. Poprad - 49,688%, ORLISTON ENTERPRISES LIMITED - 49,688%, others - 0,624%
