Simms 425Sd
The four axle Simms series 425Sa type coil car with telescope housing is used for freight of metal sheets and coils. The car is loaded and unloaded from the top with a crane or an overhead crane, and it is equipped with cargo saddles for metal sheets in coils. The car can be manufactured without cargo saddles for break-bulk or pallet cargo.
The car is based on the four axle 424Z type flat car.
The car has a type certificate of operation from the General Railways Inspector (currently, the Railroad Transportation Agency).
