Falns 449V
The four axle Falns series type 449V self-discharging car is used for transportation of bulk freight (coal, sand, ore, aggregates). The car is loaded by belt conveyors or loading silos. The 449V type car is discharged automatically by releasing and opening the side gates with a pneumatic actuator, or manually at the side of the car. The design allows easier access to cargo defrosting devices on both ends of the car (enhanced distance between the buffer beam and the king-pin).
